Dr. Javed Ahmad Bhat, an alumnus of University of Hyderabad has been appointed Assistant Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the Indian Institute of Management – Tiruchirappalli. Dr. Javed earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hyderabad under the guidance of Prof. Naresh Kumar Sharma between 2015 and 2019. With a background in Empirical Macroeconomics and International Economics, he brings a wealth of experience in the higher education sector.

His academic journey includes affiliations with the University of Kashmir, NMIMS – Mumbai, BITS Pilani Goa, and IIFT – New Delhi.
His teaching portfolio spans diverse subjects such as Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, International Trade and Finance, Econometrics, and Monetary Economics. In addition to his role in academia, Dr. Javed is actively engaged in research, particularly in Empirical Macroeconomics and International Economics.
