The Department of Education and Education Technology, School of Social Sciences, and UGC MMTTC UoH, in collaboration with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, successfully organized a 2-Day Exposure Visit Program for CBSE Principals on 26-27 September 2024. This initiative, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focused on integrating skill-based education into the school curriculum.

The program brought together 46 Principals from across the country, providing them with valuable insights into vocational education, institutional collaboration, and modern teaching practices, empowering them to lead future-ready schools. The event was inaugurated with an address by Prof. B. J. Rao, Vice-Chancellor of UoH, and Prof. Jyotirmaya Sharma, Dean of the School of Social Sciences. The program featured insightful sessions by distinguished experts, including Prof. Jyotirmaya Sharma, who discussed the role of skill education in the social sciences and humanities; Prof. B. Rajashekhar from the School of Management, who focused on scaling skill education in line with NEP 2020; Prof. Ghansham Krishna, Director of the Institute of Eminence (IOE), who shared UoH’s journey towards institutional excellence; Prof. P. Appa Rao from the School of Life Sciences, who addressed management, administrative setups, and partnerships; and Prof. G. Padmaja from the Centre for Health Psychology, who emphasized life skills education and behavioral sciences in the NEP 2020 context.

These sessions provided the principals with actionable insights and strategies to strengthen skill education and drive innovation in their schools. The CBSE expressed their gratitude to Prof. P.
