A doctoral fellowship support of twenty thousand Indian rupees per month (Rs. 20,000/-) for a period of three years from the date of commencement / joining of the fellowship is being offered under the ‘Canadian HIV Vaccine Initiative (CHVI) Team in Social and Behavioural Research on HIV Vaccines’, a multi-sited International Research Project.
Under the fellowship, the candidate will have to work on his/her doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Pushpesh Kumar, Department of Sociology, University of Hyderabad (UoH), who is associated with the project as co-investigator. The doctoral work under the fellowship will be undertaken in the broader areas of HIV/AIDS or Sexual Health or issues related to sexuality.
Eligibility: M.A. in Sociology or Anthropology (those from anthropology should be trained in social and cultural anthropology) with minimum percentage of marks as per the UOH norms of eligibility for a doctoral programme. Apart from this, one needs to have cleared UGC NET or equivalent exam.
