Prof. Arun Ghosh from Purdue University invited as Prof. Goverdhan Mehta visiting Chair Professor

Prof. Arun Ghosh, Ian P. Rothwell Distinguished Professor, Department of Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry at Purdue University has been invited to be the Prof. Goverdhan Mehta visiting Chair Professor at the University of Hyderabad. His research group is involved in multidisciplinary research projects in the areas of synthetic organic, bioorganic and medicinal chemistry.

Synthesis and biological studies of Bioactive Natural Products Design and synthesis of Molecular Probes for Bioactive Peptides and Proteins Structure-based Design of Enzyme Inhibitors for Alzheimer’s Disease and AIDS Development of Asymmetric methodologies (Catalytic and Stoichiometric) Multicomponent Reactions (MCR) for Highly Functionalized Products

The Prof. Goverdhan Mehta Visiting Chair Professorship is given to renowned eminent scientists/professors (India or abroad) in Chemistry. A maximum of two visitors, sequentially, in a Calendar year can be appointed. The term for each visiting chair will be a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of three months.
