The State Bank of India today handed over a 35-seater Swaraj Mazda bus on 2nd March 2012 for use of the visually-challenged students of the University. Sri Rakesh Sharma, Chief General Manager, Hyderabad circle handed over the bus to Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad. This bus costing about Rs. 12.5 lakh, will serve the transport needs of the visually-challenged students on the Campus. Receiving the bus Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ramaswamy said that it is a big service which SBI has done in giving us this bus for the use of our students.
Earlier in the day the ‘HCU Admin Branch’ of State Bank India was inaugurated on the University of Hyderabad Campus by Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad. This branch is located behind the Administration Building and will provide banking facility to students, faculty and staff within the campus.
