India’s 5G Innovation Hackathon 2025, organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has announced financial support of ₹1,00,000 for selected top-performing projects.

The initial stages of the hackathon were conducted virtually over a span of three months and received thousands of entries from across the country. Out of these, only 51 projects were shortlisted for the final Pragathi Phase of development.

One of the standout projects aims to develop a 5G-enabled mobile application for real-time human gait analysis, with potential applications in healthcare, sports science, and preventive wellness.

The team extends its sincere gratitude to the Department of Telecommunications, project mentors, and the Dean of SCIS, University of Hyderabad, for the opportunity to contribute to India’s 5G innovation ecosystem.
