The Technology Business Incubators (TBI/TIDE) at University of Hyderabad (UoH), in association with The Entrepreneur Zone (TEZ), have started a Unique six months training program on “ Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development”.

Prof. R. P. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, UoH formally inaugurated the program and opined that he looked forward to a lot of entrepreneurial activity emanating from the campus through this program. Prof. Rajaram, Coordinator TIDE and Prof. Venkata Ramanna, Coordinator TBI also explained that there are many emerging opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship and programs of such nature would enhance the success of the student enterprises which can be started after undergoing the program.

The program would also aim to build linkages with the incubation network and also the start-up ecosystem and facilitate commercialisation of viable technologies and businesses. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nandita Sethi, Director of TEZ, said that the program intends to provide a complete awareness and sensitisation of the entrepreneurship approaches, strategies and also enables nurturing and incubating entrepreneurial plans and supporting them from idea to start-up. The program includes training sessions and incubation. The training module is completely focussed on how to start up and run the business and the incubation provides entrepreneur mentoring, industry tie-ups/internships for prototyping, professional consultancy and facilitating investor funding through business-plan pitching. The program is also relevant for those joining family business and those working closely with entrepreneurs.
