The employees of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) paid tributes to Babu Jagjivan Ram on his death anniversary on July 6, 2026 in the administrative building of the University. Prof. J Anuradha, Vice-Chancellor i/C, Dr. Devesh Nigam, Registrar, Shri B Srinivas, Finance Officer, Shri A. Praveen Kumar Prasad, (Joint Registrar, F&A), Dr. O. Sivasankar Prasad (Librarian i/C), and other officials, and administrative staff paid floral tributes and observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the great leader.
Babuji Jagjivan Ram popularly known as Babuji was a national leader, a freedom fighter, a crusader of social justice, a champion of depressed classes, an outstanding Parliamentarian, a true democrat, a distinguished Union Minister, an able administrator and an exceptionally gifted orator in India.
He had a towering personality and made significant contributions in a political career, spanning over half a century, with utmost commitment, dedication and devotion.
