Only Multidisciplinary Public University among the 2.67% institutions from India to figure in the list
Under 50 Years old university rankings released on June 24, 2020 by QS
The QS 2021 World University Rankings has for the second consecutive year placed University of Hyderabad (UoH) among the Top 101-150 fastest growing institutions in the world “Under 50 years old”. These rankings have been released today (24 June 2020) by QS. Classified as a medium sized public institution with high research intensity, the UoH is the only Multidisciplinary Public University among the 2.67% institutions (4 institutions) from India to figure in the list.
Prof. Appa Rao Podile, Vice-Chancellor, UoH said, “It’s wonderful to note that the UoH has been recognised among the fastest growing Under-50 institutions in the World consecutively for the last three years. We attribute this to the excellent work of faculty, staff, students and our alumni”. “Using this as an inspiration and responsibility, the University will identify the areas where we will initiate extra efforts as an ‘Institution of Eminence’ to ensure that we move further forward”, he added.
Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations per Faculty, Faculty Student Ratio, International Faculty and International Students are the parameters on which the University has been ranked by QS.
QS World University Rankings is a publication of university rankings, published annually by British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). In the 2021 edition of the Rankings, 1604 institutions from 93 locations were covered.
