The University of Hyderabad (UoH), Hyderabad, through the Department of Fine Arts, SN School of Arts & Communication, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ecole Superiere des Beaux Arts, Bordeaux (EBABX), to offer one academic program for students and faculty of the institutions. Designed as a Teaching Exchange Program, it provides the opportunity for one faculty member and 5 students from each school each year to spend 10 days in the partner institution. The aim is to foster dialogues, and design collaborative exchanges on art pedagogy, art making and creative processes.
École Superiere des Beaux-Arts, established in Bordeaux in 1887, is part of a set of influential art schools in France that were associated with the international Beaux Arts style in architecture and city planning. The school trains artists and creators in Art & Media, and Design, through courses that include general studies as well as a highly professional and personalized program.
The teaching exchange program between the University of Hyderabad and the EBABX is a very important and prestigious academic partnership that can lead to new and exciting research possibilities. The partnership was signed in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor Professor B J Rao, Professor Siva Kumar Nadimpalli, Director, Office for of International Affairs, Professor Vasuki Belvadi, Dean, SN School of Arts and Communication and members of the teaching faculty of the Department of Fine Arts, Professor Suresh BV, Dr. Kirtana Thangavelu and Mr. Suneel Mamadapur.
