Ms. Satya Swathi Nadakuduti, has been selected under the Indo-U.S. Genome Engineering/Editing Technology Initiative (GETin) Visiting Fellowship program 2018-19 of the Indo-U.S. Science & Technology Forum. She will be associated with the University of Hyderabad (UoH) under this fellowship.

Ms. Satya is a Postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences in Michigan State University, USA. This is the first time such a fellowship has been given to the UoH.

The Indo-U.S. GETin Visiting Fellow will be entitled to Monthly fellowship remuneration of Rs. 1,50,000/-. The Indo-U.S. GETin Visiting Fellow will be entitled to Contingency/ preparatory allowances at a maximum of Rs. 71,000/- or at actuals to cover expenses for obtaining Visa, airport transfers in India and United States and an appropriate comprehensive Health Insurance cover at a maximum of Rs. 71,000/- or at actuals for the entire duration of the fellowship. Grant of Rs. 5, 00,000/- will be provided to the host institute in India to support the research that would be undertaken by the Indo-U.S. GETin Visiting Fellow during his/her stay period.
