In a strong demonstration of collective resolve toward building a healthier and safer nation, students, faculty, officials, and staff of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) gathered at Dr. Zakir Husain Hall to participate in the nationwide Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan.
Inspired by a virtual address from the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, the campus community joined hands to reaffirm their commitment to eradicating substance abuse and fostering a secure, vibrant environment for higher education.
Committing to a Drug-Free Campus and Country
The highlight of the gathering was the solemn administration of the Nasha Mukti Pledge. Participants pledged to lead drug-free lives, raise awareness about the perils of substance dependency, and actively contribute to making educational spaces across India safe zones for youth development.
The university fraternity emphasized that a healthy, empowered youth force is the cornerstone of the vision for Viksit Bharat @2047. By aligning institutional efforts with national campaigns, UoH continues to prioritize student well-being, mental health awareness, and holistic campus wellness.
