The University of Hyderabad is proud to acknowledge that Ms. Shalini Kondepudi, alumna of the MA Communication (Class of 2012), Department of Communication, S N School of Arts and Communication, has been honoured with the Best Story – Web Original Film (Regional) award at the Indian Streaming Academy Awards 2025 for her work on the Telugu film My Dear Donga.
An accomplished entrepreneur, writer, actor, creative director, and filmmaker, Ms. Kondepudi has made significant contributions to the evolving landscape of regional cinema and digital storytelling. In My Dear Donga, she not only wrote the story but also played one of the lead roles, alongside Abhinav Gomatam and Divya Sripada. The film, directed by B.S. Sarwagna Kumar and streaming on aha, has been praised for its fresh narrative style and relatable characters.
Beyond her work in cinema, Ms. Kondepudi was the Founder and Creative Director of Nutshell Advertising, where she made her first strides to merge creativity and strategy in brand storytelling. Her journey from the classrooms of the S N School to the national OTT stage exemplifies the spirit of innovation and excellence that the University of Hyderabad fosters among its students.
