The Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi, has bestowed upon Prof. Prakash Sarangi, former faculty in the Department of Political Science, University of Hyderabad and the former Vice Chancellor of Ravenshaw University, the prestigious Dr. Rajendra Prasad Award for Academic Excellence for the year 2025. This honour was conferred upon him at the institute’s annual meeting held on October 31, 2025. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Thiru C.P. Radhakrishnan, who presented the award in the presence of the Hon’ble Minister of State, Dr. Jitendra Singh, and the Director General of IIPA, Mr. S.N. Tripathi.

The Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Award in public administration in the field of academic excellence, is instituted in memory of the first President of India who had also laid the foundation stone of the IIPA building complex in the national capital.
