Dr. Kuchipudi Kumar Raja, an alumnus of the University of Hyderabad’s (UoH) at the Centre for English Language Studies (CELS), is appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Maths, Data Sciences, and English at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sri City (IIIT Sri City).

Academic Background:
Dr. Raja Kuchipudi completed his PhD in English Language Studies from UoH (2025) under the supervision of Prof. Sunita Mishra. His doctoral research focused on fostering learner autonomy through the process approach in ESL writing. He also holds an M.A. in English (TESL) from EFLU, an M.A. in Education (Adult Education) from IGNOU, and a B.A. from Andhra Christian College, Acharya Nagarjuna University.
Professional Experience:
He has served as a Guest Faculty at the CELS, University of Hyderabad, as a Visiting Faculty at GITAM-Hyderabad, and as a Teaching Associate at TISS. He also completed an international teaching internship (Semester Exchange) at Asia University, under the TEEP fellowship sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan.
Fellowships & Awards:
Dr. Raja Kuchipudi is a UGC‑JRF awardee in Adult Education and Education streams. He has qualified UGC‑NET in English, Education, and Adult Education.
Publications & Outreach:
His research has appeared in peer‑reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has presented papers at national and international conferences, conducted teacher training/faculty development programs and served as a resource person for state and central civil services training at MCR HRD, Hyderabad.
