The University’s Yoga Hall transformed into a sanctuary of calm today as the Department of Physical Education and Sports, under the aegis of the Dean Students Welfare, successfully hosted an immersive Sahaja Yoga Meditation Session.
In a seamless collaboration with Sahaja Yoga volunteers, the event offered a much-needed mental detox for the campus community.

The session was elevated by the presence of esteemed guests and university leadership:
- Chief Guest: Sri Sk Samarth Das (Dean, School of Chemistry)
- Presiding Officer: Dr. Siddhartha Anandesi (Assistant Director, Dept. of Physical Education and Sports)
- Lead Coordinators: Ms. Deepa Chapala and Mr. Datta
- Instructional Support: Mr. Mallikarjun and Dr. Saritha Devi
The program was designed to be both educational and experiential, guiding participants through the nuances of inner balance:
- Theory & Practice: Attendees explored the core philosophy of Sahaja Yoga before diving into guided meditation techniques.
- Nervous System Balancing: Practical steps were shared to harmonize the right and left nervous systems, aimed at boosting concentration and mental clarity.
- Stress Management: An interactive Q&A session allowed students and staff to seek personalized advice on tackling academic and professional stress.
The session left the participants feeling visibly refreshed, proving that a few moments of stillness can lead to a day of profound productivity.
The event wrapped up on a high note with the felicitation of our guests and a formal vote of thanks. To celebrate the spirit of community, the session concluded with refreshments and a collective sense of rejuvenation.
