Aijaz has been appointed as Assistant Director (Economics & Statistics) in the Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir.

- UoH Foundation: An MA Economics graduate (Batch 2020–2022), Aijaz was known for his sharp analytical skills and research aptitude during his time on campus.
- Research Excellence: He served as a Research Associate at the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore, where he contributed to vital studies on vocational education and human resource development.
- Competitive Success: He successfully qualified both the UGC-NET and GATE, solidifying his standing in the academic community.
- Continued Scholarship: Prior to his appointment, he was furthering his research journey as a doctoral scholar at IIT Guwahati (joined December 2023), focusing on economics and public policy.
