The NSS Cell of the University of Hyderabad organized a cleanup drive on the premises of the College for Integrated Studies Extension Building on 19 April 2026. Volunteers actively participated in collecting plastic water bottles, bags, glass bottles, and broken pieces scattered around by a few miscreants.

These irresponsible acts have been causing injuries to stray animals on campus and polluting the water bodies, which otherwise provide a scenic view to visitors.

The volunteers diligently swept the glass panes and cleaned the surroundings, restoring neatness and tidiness to the area.

They made a heartfelt appeal to visitors, urging them not to spoil the beauty of the site by littering it with prohibited items such as glass bottles, plastic bags, and water bottles.

Emphasizing the importance of ecological balance, they reminded everyone that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility essential for the happy and safe living of the university community.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. B. Krishnaiah, Coordinator of the NSS, University of Hyderabad.
