Prof Arun Agarwal, Pro Vice-Chancellor-1, University of Hyderabad unfurled the National Flag to mark the 72nd Independence Day of India and the 1st for the CUAP, which was inaugurated on 5th August, 2018 by Shri Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Union Human Resource Development Minister, G.O.I., mentored by University of Hyderabad a well established and renowned University.
Prof Agarwal in his message said that there are many challenges and threats facing the country like illiteracy, poverty, corruption, terrorism etc and to get rid of these, we need to promote quality education inculcating moral and ethical values. He called upon the teachers and students to dedicate themselves and resolve to make this University a hub of excellence in teaching, research and innovation; to be job creators instead of job seekers; to set examples of good practices to attain high goals; to make a difference to the society under the University social responsibility etc. He also stated from the University logo the responsibility to spread and provide unlimited access to quality education and, May knowledge thus generated, spread happiness.
Students later presented a wonderful cultural event inspiring everybody with spirit of Nationalism by singing patriotic songs, speeches and dance etc. Towards the end Prof. Agarwal thanked all present with special mention to Mr Vijayendra Pande Deputy Registrar, University of Hyderabad (Special Officer,CUAP) for excellent arrangements and coordination.
