The University of Hyderabad celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great fervor. Vice Chancellor Prof. B J Rao unfurled the National Flag at the Gurbaksh Singh Maidan on campus, paying tributes to freedom fighters who brought independence and prepared the Constitution. In his speech, Prof. Rao highlighted the university’s achievements, including its ranking and research accomplishments.
Prof. Rao emphasized the importance of the university community’s role in nation-building, urging everyone to work together to make the University of Hyderabad a vibrant campus and a top-ranking institution globally. He also mentioned the university’s efforts to broaden and deepen internationalization, strengthen effective international partnerships, and position students as global citizens.
The celebrations saw special patriotic dance performance by the junior students of the campus school. An elegant march past was done by the senior students of the campus school.
On this occasion the University, on behalf of XPERT Facility Management Services Ltd., acknowledged and commended Mr. Varanasi Srinu, Skilled worker employed in Sanitation Department, for demonstrating exceptional honesty and integrity by returning a lost money purse to a student, showcasing the values of trust and responsibility that the institution upholds.
Earlier Prof. T. P. Radhakrishnan, Senior Professor, School of Chemistry unfurled the National flag at Golden Threshold campus of the university in the city.
