Dr. Mrinmoy Pramanick, an alumnus of the University of Hyderabad, has received the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Prize for Translation. He translated Sharan Kumar Limbale’s Dalit Sahitya Che Soundarya Shashtra, a work of literary criticism from Marathi to Bangla.

He completed MPhil in Translation Studies from 2009 to 2010, followed by a PhD in Comparative Literature from 2010 to 2015. Dr. Pramanick presently serves as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Comparative Indian Language and Literature at University of Calcutta.
