Shekhar Baki, PhD student working in the group of Prof. Ravi Kumar Gutti, Department of Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) received Best Poster Prize on March 15, 2025 at the 1st International conference on Healthspan and Aging organised by the Federation of Asian Biotech, Associations Genome Foundation, and Acasta Health.
The focus of his work is to identify the role of inflammation on platelet biogenesis and associated-cardiovascular complications. Shekhar identified a novel LncRNA to be involved in this process, whose interference rendered protection against the initial steps of inflammation-associated vascular complications.
