Dr. Saumyashree Moharana, has been appointed as Assistant Professor in History at the University of Hyderabad (UoH).
Dr. Moharana hails from Odisha and pursued her Post Graduation in History (14SHMA48) at the School of Social Sciences in our University during the academic years 2014–2016 and completed her Master of Arts in History, from the School of Social Sciences, UoH in 2016. In 2020, she completed Master of Philosophy in Ancient Indian History, Culture, and Archaeology, Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute (Deemed to be University), Pune, India.
Later, she completed Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology, Institute of Archaeology, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Delhi, India in 2018.
In 2025 she completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Ancient Indian History, Culture, and Archaeology, Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute (Deemed to be University), Pune, India titled Cultural Continuity and Evolution: A Study of Neolithic to Early Historic Cultures of the Lower Rushikulya River Basin, Ganjam District, Odisha.
