वे एक प्रतिभाशाली कवयित्री और कला की महान संरक्षक थी, जिनकी उदारता ने हमारे संस्थान को बहुत प्रभावित किया। गोल्डन थ्रेशोल्ड में राजकुमारी इंदिरा देवी धनराजगीर हॉल की स्थापना से लेकर श्री. गुंटूरु शेषेन्द्र शर्मा एंडोमेंट व्याख्यान तक, साहित्य और संस्कृति के प्रति उनकी प्रतिबद्धता हमारे छात्रों और संकाय-सदस्यों के लिए सदैव एक प्रेरणा बनी रहेगी।
हम उनके परिवार और प्रियजनों के प्रति अपनी हार्दिक संवेदना व्यक्त करते हैं। उनकी विरासत हमेशा विश्वविद्यालय के परिसर में गूँजती रहेगी।
Remembering a Visionary Patron of Art and Literature: Rajkumari Indira Devi Dhanrajgir (1930–2026)
The University of Hyderabad (UoH) is deeply saddened by the passing of Rajkumari Indira Devi Dhanrajgir on January 13, 2026.
A visionary poet and a legendary patron of the arts, her generosity profoundly shaped our institution. From the establishment of the Rajkumari Indira Devi Dhanrajgir Hall at the Golden Threshold to the Sri Gunturu Seshendra Sarma Endowment Lecture, her commitment to literature and culture remains an eternal inspiration to our students and faculty.
