Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Hon’ble Minister of State – Human Resource Development, Government of India who is in Hyderabad for the All India Vice-Chancellor’s Conference met the University of Hyderabad Vice-Chancellor Prof. Appa Rao Podile and had a first-hand information on the current activities and future plans of the University. The meeting was held at Haritha Plaza State Guest house on April 27, 2017.
The Hon’ble Minister took keen interest in the achievements of the University and its performance in the research and development activities. He was also happy to learn about the collaborations that the University has with various institutions all over the World and the student exchange programmes that the University has with these institutions. Prof. Appa Rao mentioned that the UoH will put in efforts and improve on its rankings both at the National and International level. Prof. Appa Rao was accompanied by Prof. B. P. Sanjay, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Prof. P Prakash Babu, Dean, Students Welfare.
Later the Hon’ble Minister of State also met Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad and inquired about the performance of their University and its future plans.
