Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication of University of Hyderabad organised a Musical Concert by Nageen Tanvir, renowned Vocalist, Music Composer, Music Researcher and Performer. The concert was organized on the occasion of Inauguration of the new open air auditorium at the school by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy.

The concert was held at the newly opened open Air Auditorium on Sunday, 24th February, 2013.

IMG_3303Daughter of Indian Theater stalwarts Habib and Moneeka Tanvir, Nageen Tanvir has trained extensively in Hindustani Classical vocal music under various well-known Gurus including Smt Sharbori Mukherjee, Smt Dipali Nag, Smt Sulochana Brahaspati and Gundecha Bandhu. Her music experience spans a practical knowledge of the folk and tribal traditions of North and Central India, specifically the musically rich region of Chattisgarh. As a member of the famed Naya Theater, Nageen has been involved in creating music for many of their internationally known productions. Since 2001, she has been the mainstay for music in Naya Theater.
