The School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Hyderabad (UoH) organized a three days national conference entitled “National Conference on the Recent Developments in Mathematical Sciences” from 5th to 7th of February, 2025, in Zakir Hussain Lecture Hall Complex, on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee year.
The conference starts with the introductory words of Prof. Saroj Panigrahi (Convener and Dean, School of Mathematics and Statistics) and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. B. J. Rao.
The main goal of this conference is to facilitate the researchers to stay abreast with recent developments in the areas of mathematics and computing. We organized parallel sessions on the following topics: Dynamical Systems, Fractional Differential Equations, Differential Equations (ODE & PDE), Difference Equations, Time Scales, Algebra, Representation Theory, Number Theory, Algebraic Geometry, Fluid Dynamics, Complex Analysis, Functional Analysis, Fuzzy Logics, Probability and Statistics, History of Mathematics in India, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Machine Learning, WSN, Data Mining, Theoretical Computer Science, Cryptography, Image Processing. The conference’s scientific program included invited talks and paper presentations.
In the conference 27 distinguished speakers talked about recent developments in mathematics and statistics. Prof. Amiya Kumar Pani (BITS-Pilani, Goa Campus, Goa) talked about “Global stabilization of the viscous Burgers equation by nonlinear Neumann feedback control laws: theoretical and computational studies”,
Prof. K. Sandeep (TIFR-CAM, Bengaluru) briefly explain “Moving plane method and symmetry properties of solutions of PDEs”,
Prof. S. D. Adhikari (RKMERI, Belur Math, West Bengal) described some basic results on “Set addition and zero-sum theorems”
Prof. Jaya N. Iyer (IMSc, CIT Campus Chennai) lighted on “Period index questions”.
In the parallel sessions 35 contributory speakers talked about their contribution in recent developments in mathematics, statistics and computer sciences.
More than 200 participants from various universities and institutes in India attended the three days conference and made the event successful.
