Prof. B Raja Shekhar delivers keynote address at TMBER 2014
Also meets officials of AIT and discusses academic collaboration
Prof. B. Raja Shekhar, senior faculty in the School of Management Studies and currently the Registrar of University (UoH) delivered a keynote address at the International Conference on “Trends in Multidisciplinary Business and Economics Research”(TMBER 2014) held during 27th -28th, March 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand. He also chaired two sessions on the tracks named: Business Management and Trends in Multidisciplinary Research. The conference was attended by faculty, research scholars, and industry professionals from Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand, Indonesia, India, Qatar, Bandung, Kuwait, Japan, Singapore, Bangladesh, Australia, New York, and the Netherlands.
Prof. Shekhar met officials of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok on 28th March 2014. Prof. S. Kumar, Vice President (Academics), Prof. Jayant K Routray, Academic Senate Chair, Regional and Rural Development Planning & Disaster Preparedness, Mitigation and Management Academic Programs, Dr. Gabrielle Groves Punyaratabandu, Head, External Relations and Communications, were present in the meeting. The main focus of the discussions was to explore the possible collaboration between AIT and UoH in terms of student’s internships, faculty exchange, joint programmes, research projects, etc.
After the meeting, Prof. Shekhar delivered a special lecture on “Innovation and Quality of Higher Education in India” which was attended by the AIT community comprising the Deans, Faculty from the Schools of Management, School of Environmental Research and Development and the School of Engineering and Technology.
