The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has received a record highest number of 58,034 applications for its various courses for the year 2017-18. “This is about 32 % more than the last year and only proves that students aspire to study in UoH which is among the top performing institutions of the country”, said, Shri Devesh Nigam, Controller of Examinations (in-charge). Last year the number was about 44,000.

The entrance examination may be conducted at 37 centres, all over India between 1st to 5th June 2017.

“Extremely good news that more than 30% increase in the applications in this year. We feel happy that we have become choice destination for more aspirants from all over the country. It adds responsibility as a leading academic institution of the country. Our University will greatly benefit with this situation where we expect the quality of our input is likely to improve”, said Prof. Appa Rao Profile, Vice Chancellor, UoH.

Out of 58,034 applicants, Women = 37 %, OBC = 35.09 %, SC = 15.83 %, and ST = 9.60 %.
