The Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) Library, University of Hyderabad, organized an online training session titled “Revolutionizing Literature Review with EBSCO Academic Search Ultimate AI Features” on 2 April 2026. The session saw active participation from 53 attendees, including faculty members, researchers, and students from various disciplines.

The session was conducted by Mr. M. S. Srinivasa, Training Manager at EBSCO Information Services, who introduced participants to Academic Search Ultimate, a leading multidisciplinary full-text database. The resource offers access to a vast collection of peer-reviewed journals, non-open access content, and high-quality scholarly materials.

A major highlight of the webinar was the demonstration of advanced AI-powered features such as Natural Language Search (NLS), AI-generated article summaries, “Cited by” references, and Author/People Pages. Participants were also oriented on the use of Personal User Accounts (PUA) and the EBSCO Mobile App for seamless access to resources.

The session emphasized the role of AI in enhancing the efficiency of literature review by enabling faster discovery, evaluation, and synthesis of research content. Participants appreciated the practical demonstrations and interactive nature of the session.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. O. Sivasankar Prasad, Librarian, University of Hyderabad. The session concluded with a valedictory note by the Assistant Librarian, encouraging participants to effectively utilize the database for academic and research excellence. E-certificates were issued to all participants.

The initiative reflects the University’s commitment to promoting digital literacy and strengthening research capabilities among its academic community.
