Sabhavat Prem Kumar, an alumnus of School of Economics, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has cleared the prestigious Indian Economic Service (IES) examination with an all-India rank of 15 in the recent 2024 UPSC results.
Mr. Kumar completed his Integrated Master’s program in Economics between 2012 to 2017, and is a Gold Medalist. He is grateful to all the faculty and staff who supported him throughout his academic career. “This achievement marks a significant milestone in my academic and professional journey”, says Kumar.
Currently, Mr. Kumar is pursuing PhD at the Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum, which is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi and he would also like to extend his heartfelt thanks to the School of Economics, UoH and its course in Institutional Economics, which greatly contributed to his interview.
A special mention goes to his mentors, Prof. R. Vijay, Prof. Ramana Murthy, Prof. Naresh Sharma and Prof. Prajna Mishra, whose support was instrumental in shaping his academic and professional growth. He also thanks the faculty members and the institution for providing an enriching environment that enabled him to achieve this success.
