Around 30 Journalists and Media Professionals from Sri Lanka are taking part in the two-week training program on ‘Media Management for Journalists and Media Professionals’ at Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
As part of the course curriculum, the delegates visited the University of Hyderabad on 2nd July 2024 for exposure to the Indian University Education System. Shri Sugeeswara P Senadhira, Advisor (Media & International Affairs) to the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka was also part of the delegation.

The journalists visited the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication, interacted with the faculty, visited the state-of-the-art communication and media facilities and had first-hand information on the course curriculum and outreach activities.

Later they had interaction with Prof. B J Rao, Vice Chancellor and Dr. Devesh Nigam, Registrar. The participants were impressed with the academic strengths and achievements of the university. The visit was coordinated by Dr. K Sukumar from Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana.
