Professor Nadimpalli Siva Kumar, Emeritus Professor, Biochemistry Department, School of Life Sciences was invited by the Vice Chancellor and Executive Council of Andhra University in its Centenary Celebrations to deliver Prof. T.M. Radhakrishnan and Smt. T.M. Bharathi Endowment Lecture on “Recent Trends and Developments in Biochemistry”. Prof. Raghava Rao, Head, Biochemistry Department welcomed the gathering and informed that the earlier endowment lectures were delivered by Prof P. Balaram, Prof. D.Narasimha Rao and Prof. G. Padmanaban. Speaking on the Occasion Prof. G.P. Raja Sekhar, Vice Chancellor, Andhra University highlighted on the centenary celebrations being conducted at the Andhra University.

Prof. Siva Kumar was felicitated by Prof. G.P. Raja Sekhar, Vice Chancellor of Andhra University on 2nd April, 2026. Speaking on the occasion Prof Siva Kumar fondly remembered and greatly appreciated the teachings of distinguished faculty of the Biochemistry Department Andhra University during 1978-1980. Professor Siva Kumar delivered a lecture entitled “N-Glycosylation of Proteins – Lysosomal biogenesis in Hydra vulgaris”. He summarized the importance and the significant role of Glycans/Glycoconjugates in biochemical and biomedical research. Other distinguished members present were Prof. Raghava Rao, Head, Biochemistry Department, Former Vice Chancellor Prof. G Nageswara Rao, Prof M V R Raju, Principal Andhra University College of Science and Technology, Prof. Jyotsna, daughter of Prof. T.M. Radhakrishnan.
