Ms. Jaya Peesapaty, alumnus of University of Hyderabad M.A. Philosophy 1989-1991 batch and founder of the Telugu Association in Hong Kong has been awarded for promoting Indian Art and Culture in Hong Kong. This award has been given by the Padmabhushan Ustad Mushtaq Husain Khan Association (PUMHKA).

The primary motive of PUMHKA is to encourage performing arts, in general, (specifically Indian classical music, both vocal & instrumental, and also Indian classical dance), and to nurture the musical tradition of Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana, founded in the 17th Century in particular.

Jaya Peesapaty also hosts an online web radio show, “Jai Hind “, which remind people of the sacrifice of the soldiers and their families make when soldiers are protecting our borders.

Congratulations and best wishes to Jaya Peesapaty
