Ranjit Badaseth, an alumnus of the Department of History, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, Tripura Central University.

Ranjit completed his M. Phil & Ph. D under the supervision of Prof. Sanjay Subodh and his Ph. D thesis titled “Agricultural Practices, Nature, Technology and Texts in Medieval India.” This particular work tried to understand the medieval system of production and tolls and technology used in it. The work also tried to understand the relationship between cropping pattern and food habits.
Ranjit’s area of specialization was Medieval India and now he is teaching Medieval Indian society and other related paper in the Dept. of History Tripura Central University.
