A group of eight students from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) has successfully concluded a rigorous, two-month intensive internship program at the prestigious Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) Library, University of Hyderabad.

The immersive program was curated to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application in Library and Information Science (LIS). Over the course of two months, the interns received hands-on exposure to advanced library operations, automated cataloging systems, digital archiving protocols, and modern user-services management.

To mark the conclusion of the program, the University Librarian presided over a valedictory ceremony and distributed completion certificates to the participants. Congratulating the cohort on their dedication and technical proficiency, the Librarian emphasized the growing importance of digital asset management and extended his best wishes for their upcoming professional careers.

The concluding session featured feedback from the interns, who expressed their deep appreciation to the IGM Library administration and staff for providing a supportive, high-tier learning environment and mentorship that significantly enhanced their professional readiness.
