The University of Hyderabad (UoH), an Institution of Eminence (IoE), has reaffirmed its position as one of the country’s premier seats of higher learning by securing the 4th Rank nationally among Central Universities in the newly released International Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) India Rankings 2026.
Additionally, UoH holds the proud distinction of being the Rank 1 Central University in the State of Telangana.
The prestigious annual league tables, which evaluate top-performing higher education institutions across Universities, Engineering, and Business Schools, highlight UoH’s sustained institutional development, robust research environment, and outstanding academic outcomes.
The IIRF India Rankings 2026 are recognized for their rigorous methodology. This year, institutions were thoroughly scrutinized using nine meticulously defined evaluation parameters, assessing both the qualitative and quantitative impact of the university’s academic ecosystem:
- Academic Excellence & Perception: Heavily driven by Academic Reputation, Peer Perception, and vital Alumni Feedback across global circuits.
- Research & Output: Focusing deeply on Research Outcome, measuring the overall volume of peer-reviewed publications, institutional research income, and international citations.
- Employability & Outreach: Evaluating Graduate Outcome & Employability alongside Employer Reputation & International Outlook to measure industry readiness.
- Inclusivity & Growth: Tracking Demand Ratio & Student Profile, Wellbeing and Institutional Development, and Impact and Value Addition to assess societal contributions.
- Transparency: Backed by Public Perception & Data Verification metrics to ensure institutional accountability.
