Rizvan P.S, Doctoral candidate under the supervision of Prof. Suchandra Ghosh, Department of History, presented a paper at “The World of Iron at 10” conference being held in Nairobi, Kenya from 6th to 11th November 2023. It was organized by the British Institute in East Africa in association with The Cyprus Institute.

The title of his paper was “Unveiling the Iron and Steel Production Centers of Early Historic Tamilakam: Textual and Archaeological Insights”. The conference focussed on bringing together new perspectives on the global and chronological development of iron and iron technology.
